August 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Navy Federal Credit Union for allegedly misleadingly representing that it assesses International Service Assessment Fees (ISAF) on point-of-sale and ATM transactions made in foreign countries without disclosing that it also charges ISAF fees when consumers who are in the United States use their cards for online transactions with foreign merchants. (Morrow et al v. Navy Federal Credit Union, Case No. 20-cv-1636, S.D. Cal.)
