In June 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against the rental booking website Home Away for allegedly failing to adequately warn consumers that scammers sometimes post fraudulent listings for rental properties on its website resulting in consumers paying to rent properties that are not provided to them. (Spacil et al v. Home Away, Inc., Case No.19-cv-983, D. NV.)
