Allegations: Falsely marketing pacifiers as “orthodontic”
September 2021: A Consolidated Amended Class Action Complaint was filed.
May and August 2020: Multiple class-action lawsuits were filed against Graco Children’s Products, Inc. and Newell Brands for allegedly misleadingly marketing its booster seats as safe for children who weigh 30 pounds and are three years old when, according to the complaint, the booster seats are not safe for children who weigh less than 40 pounds and are younger than four years old. In addition, plaintiffs claim that the booster seats are marketed as side-impact tested when, according to the complaint, the booster seats do not significantly reduce the risk of serious injury and death in side-impact collisions.
