360-Degree Camera Systems in Ford Vehicles
Allegations: Marketing that the 360-degree camera system is a safety feature in vehicles when the system routinely malfunctions and does not work as advertised due to a defect
In June 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Ford for allegedly deceptively marketing its F-Series Super Duty pick-up trucks as “clean,” fuel-efficient, and reliable trucks that have significantly reduced emissions when, according to the complaint, the company equips the trucks with an illegal “defeat device” that reduces the vehicles emissions during testing but not under normal driving conditions. (Goodroad et al v. Ford Motor Co. et al, Case No. 18-cv-11900, N.D. Cal.)
