Allegations: Products do not contain the fruits in the product names
In July 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Dunkin’ Donuts for allegedly falsely representing that certain blueberry- and maple-flavored donuts – including the Blueberry Butternut Donut, Blueberry Cake Donut, Glazed Apple Maple Donut, and Maple Frosted Coffee Roll – contain blueberries and maple syrup or maple sugar, respectively, when, according to plaintiffs, the donuts do not contain these ingredients. (Babaian et al v. Dunkin’ Brands Group, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-4890, C. D. CA.)
