“Deep Discounts” at T.J. Maxx Stores
2016: A federal judge dismissed this action concluding that the plaintiffs failed to state a claim upon which relief could be granted because they failed to adequately allege that they sustained an injury.
2015: A class-action lawsuit was filed against TJX Companies for allegedly misleadingly comparing its prices to a higher fabricated price in order to make consumers believe they are getting “deep discounts” on merchandise. (Braynina et al v. TJX Companies, Inc., Case No. 15-cv-5897, S.D.N.Y.)
