Allegations: Misrepresenting that it protects consumers’ personal information when it failed to do so and there was a data breach in 2024
A class-action lawsuit was filed against Comcast for allegedly offering service plans to cover the costs of repairs of wiring inside customers’ homes when, in reality, the service plans did not cover the costs of repairs of all of the wiring inside homes (for example, the plan did not cover the wiring inside the walls of homes). The lawsuit was originally filed in state court in August 2016 and transferred to federal court in September 2016. (Landers et al v. Comcast of Missouri, LLC d/b/a Comcast, Case No. 16-cv-1010, W. D.
