January 2020: A federal judge denied the defendants’ motion to dismiss the amended complaint finding that the plaintiffs fixed the problems with the complaint and met the heightened pleading standard for fraud-based claims.

October 2019: Plaintiffs filed an amended complaint bringing similar allegations after a federal judge dismissed plaintiffs’ claims in September 2019.

November 2018: This case was transferred to federal court. (Case No. 18-cv-07144, N. D. CA.)

October 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Nestle for allegedly falsely advertising that Coffee-mate creamers contain “0g Trans Fat” when, according to plaintiffs, the creamers contain a “substantial and dangerous amount” of trans fat.
