April 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Capital One for, among other things, allegedly promising not to charge fees for using in-network ATMs when, according to plaintiffs, customers who use the bank’s ATMs for balance inquiries are charged fees. (Figueroa et al. v. Capital One, N.A., Case No. 18-cv-692, S.D. Cal.)
