Canisters of Great Value Ground Coffee

In August 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Walmart for allegedly falsely representing that Great Value ground coffee products will make a specific number of cups of coffee when, according to plaintiffs, the products do not contain enough coffee to make the advertised number of servings. For example, the front label of the 30.5 ounce canister of Great Value Classic Roast represents that it makes up to 240 cups of coffee when, according to the complaint, the product makes approximately 173 cups. Later in August, the case was voluntarily dismissed When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled., the reasons for which have not been disclosed. (Sulzer et al v. Walmart, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-1536, S.D. Cal.)
