In August 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods for allegedly misleadingly marketing its Steel Cut Oats and Old Fashioned Rolled Oats as being healthy by pointing out several healthy attributes on the packaging without disclosing that they contain glyphosate, an ingredient that plaintiffs say is a carcinogen that is widely used as an herbicide.
