In May 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Armstrong Flooring for, among other things, allegedly misleadingly marketing its composite laminate wood flooring as complying with formaldehyde standards – including CARB standards for formaldehyde emissions – when, in reality, it does not. Armstrong World Industries, Inc., Armstrong Flooring, Inc., Lowe’s Companies, Inc., and Lowe’s Home Centers, LLC, Case No. 16-cv-1121, M. D. FL.)
