“All Natural” Arizona Iced Tea

March 2013: A federal judge granted the companies’ motion for summary judgment finding that plaintiffs have not presented any evidence showing that certain ingredients are artificial and a significant portion of the public would be confused by the labels. March 2010: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Arizona Beverages claiming that the company falsely advertised its iced tea drinks as “all natural” when, according to the complaint, the products contain non-natural or artificial ingredients (such as high fructose corn syrup and artificial citric acid). (The complaint was later amended in May 2011.) (Lauren Ries, et al. v. Hornell Brewing Co., Inc., et al.,. Case No. 10-cv-01139, N. D. CA.).
