Allegations: Deceptively marketing that vanilla is the characterizing flavor in products without disclosing that they also contain other flavoring ingredients
In June 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Wakefern Food Corp. for allegedly misleadingly representing that vanilla is the flavoring ingredient in Wholesome Pantry Vanilla Almondmilk when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredients list does not include a vanilla ingredient and reveals that the beverage contains unspecified “Natural Flavor.” (Cleary et al v. Wakefern Food Corp., Case No. 20-cv-2537, E.D.N.Y.)
