A bogus connection to major retailers is just the beginning.
In March 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Waist Gang Society for allegedly deceptively advertising its products, including Miracle Waist Shaper, Python Waistshaper, Superhero Waistshaper, and Funkadelic Cheetah Waistshaper. The complaint alleges that the company claims that the products burn fat and control the user’s weight when, in reality, they have no effect on the user’s fat loss. (Hawes et al v. Waist Gang Society, LLC, Case No. 16-cv-1784, C. D. CA.)
