Virgil’s Root Beer and Orange Cream Sodas

In November 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Virgil’s Sodas for allegedly deceptively marketing its Root Beer and Orange Cream sodas as being “Made Naturally” with “100% Natural Ingredients” and as having “No Preservatives” when, according to the plaintiffs, the sodas contain a synthetic preservative called citric acid. (Mason et al v. Reed’s Inc. d/b/a Virgil’s Sodas, Case No. 18-cv-10826, S. D. NY.)
