Trader Joe’s Vanilla Almond Clusters Cereals

In October 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Trader Joe’s for allegedly misleadingly marketing that the main flavoring ingredient in its Vanilla Almond Clusters Cereal is vanilla when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredients list shows that the cereal contains unspecified “Natural Flavor.” In addition, plaintiffs claim that testing shows that the vanilla flavor comes from artificial ingredients and the amount of vanilla is de minimis. (Robie et al v. Trader Joe’s Company, Case No. 20-v-7355, N.D. Cal.)
