Underwear seller strips a number of marketing claims after a TINA.org inquiry.
A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against Southern Telecom in October 2016 (and transferred to federal court in November 2016). The complaint alleges that the company deceptively advertises its line of tower speakers – including Polaroid Bluetooth Tower Speaker with Disco Party Light – has four speakers when, in reality, only two of the four speakers are operating speakers (i.e., two of the speakers are dummy speakers with no wiring, magnet, or other components of real speakers). (Toh et al v. Southern Telecom, Inc. and Southern Telecom Electronics, Inc., Case No. 16-cv-12300, D. MA.)
