In September 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against ITO EN (North America) Inc. for allegedly misleadingly marketing its Teas’ Tea Organic Pomegranate Blueberry Green Tea as “Slightly Sweet” when, according to the complaint, sugar is the second most predominant ingredient in the tea. (Nelson et al v. ITO EN (North America) Inc., Case No. 20-cv-7496, S.D.N.Y.)
