An August 2012 class action against Unilever alleges that it falsely advertised its Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion 30 Day Smoothing Kit as a product that would smooth hair and coat it with Keratin (a protein naturally occurring in hair). The complaint claims that instead of obtaining any benefits, proper use of the product led to significant hair loss, which resulted in a belated and incomplete recall of the product.
