Sinemia Subscriptions
June 2019: The case was stayed.
April 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Sinemia Inc. for allegedly misleadingly advertising subscriptions for discounted movie theater tickets for a specific period of time when, according to plaintiffs, the company ends subscriptions before the advertised length of the subscription has passed and does not provide these terminated subscribers with refunds. The complaint also claims that the company recharges subscribers after they have cancelled their subscription. (Yeh et al v. Sinemia Inc., Case No. 19-cv-2145, N.D. Cal.)
