In August 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Frontier Natural Products Cooperative for allegedly marketing Simply Organic All Seasons Salt as “organic” and healthier than regular salt against federal law, which prohibits marketing salt ingredients as “organic” because salt is a mineral and not an agricultural product.
