In September 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Aldi Inc. for allegedly misleadingly marketing Simply Nature Vanilla Soymilk as containing vanilla when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredients list does not include vanilla and lists unspecified “Natural Flavor” instead. (Gensberg et al v. Aldi Inc., Case No. 19-cv-5745, E. D. NY.)
