August 2020: This case was voluntarily dismissed When a complaint is dismissed with prejudice, it cannot be refiled., the reasons for which have not been disclosed.

December 2017: This case was stayed pending the FDA’s review of the proper use of the word “natural” on food labeling.

May 2017: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Sargento Foods for allegedly falsely marketing Sargento cheeses as “natural” when, according to the complaint, the cheeses contain unnatural ingredients. (Stanton et al v. Sargento Foods, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-2881, N.D. Cal.)
