2018: A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against SanDisk alleging that its USB Flash Drives have less storage space than advertised. For example, plaintiffs claim that flash drives advertised as having 4 GBs of storage space actually have 3.73 GBs of space and flash drives advertised as having 256 GBs of storage space actually 238.42 GBs of space. (Dinan et al v. Sandisk, LLC, Case No. 18-cv-5420, N. D. CA.)
