February 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Riddell, Inc. for allegedly misleadingly advertising its Revolution football helmets. Specifically, the complaint alleges that the company represents that the Revolution helmet reduces the incidence of concussion by 31% (when compared to traditional helmets) without scientific evidence to support such claims. (Galvan et al v. Riddell, Inc.; All American Sports Corporation d/b/a Riddell/All American Riddell Sports Group; Easton-Bell Sports, Inc.; Easton-Bell Sports, LLC; EB Sports Corporation; RBG Holdings Corporation; and Does 1-10, Case No. 14-cv-00359, S. D. CA.).
