August 2014: The named plaintiff voluntarily dismissed this lawsuit When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled.. The reasons for the dismissal have not yet been disclosed.
April 2014: A non-profit youth football organization that purchased Riddell Revolution football helmets for its youth participants to wear filed a class-action lawsuit against Riddell, Inc. The complaint alleges that the company falsely represents that the helmets reduce the incidence of concussions by up to 31% (when compared to traditional helmets) without scientific evidence to support such claims.
