In November 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed alleging that Kanoa (a company that develops and sells technological hardware for devices) deceptively represented that customers who pre-ordered wireless earbuds would receive them in April 2016 when, according to the complaint, the company pushed the release date of the earbuds to summer 2017 and then announced that it ceased development of them.
