Allegations: Falsely marketing dairy products as manufactured using “Humane Animal Practices” when they are not
In January 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Cooperative Regions of Organic Producer Pools for allegedly misleadingly marketing that the exclusive flavoring ingredient in Organic Valley High Protein Milk Shakes is vanilla when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredients list reveals that the products contain unspecified “Organic Flavor” along with “Organic Fair Trade Vanilla Flavor.” (Collishaw et al v. Cooperative Regions of Organic Producer Pools, Case No. 20-cv-277, S.D.N.Y.)
