September 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Nuwave for allegedly falsely advertising its infrared ovens as “high-quality,” “dishwasher safe,” “durable,” and “shatter resistant” when, according to the complaint, the ovens crack and shatter after minimal use due to a defect. Plaintiffs also claim that the company does not honor its promises to replace parts and to repair ovens during the first year after purchase. (Horn et al v. Nuwave, LLC, Case No. 19-cv-7955, N.D.
