In April 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Nonni’s Foods for allegedly misleadingly marketing that the characterizing flavor in Nonni’s Limone Biscotti comes from lemons when, according to the complaint, the ingredients list does not include a lemon ingredient and reveals that the cookies are made with “Natural Flavors.” (Bardsley et al v. Nanni’s Food LLC, Case No. 20-cv-2979, S.D.N.Y.)
