In May 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against New England Coffee Company for allegedly misleadingly marketing its Hazelnut Crème Coffee as containing hazelnuts when, according to the plaintiffs, the coffee does not contain any hazelnuts and, instead, is flavored with artificial and natural ingredients. (Dumont et al v. Reily Foods Company and New England Coffee Company, Case No. 18-cv-10907, D. Mass.)
