Class Action

Loans from PayPal Credit

A class-action lawsuit was filed against PayPal Credit for, among other things, allegedly engaging in bait and switch tactics by offering consumers loans and deceptively hiding the final terms of the loans until after consumers accept the terms. The lawsuit was filed in state court in May 2017 and transferred to federal court in June 2017. (Evans et al v. Bill Me Later d/b/a PayPal Credit, Case No. 17-cv-1784, D. MD.)
