November 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Costco and Diamond Pet Foods for allegedly misleadingly marketing pet foods – including Kirkland Nature’s Domain Turkey Meal and Sweet Potato Formula for Dogs and Kirkland Nature’s Domain Puppy Chicken and Pea Formula – as “grain free” and containing only certain specified ingredients when, according to the complaint, the pet foods contain wheat and other unlisted ingredients. (Shaw et al v. Costco Wholesale Corp. and Schell & Kampeter, Inc. d/b/a Diamond Pet Foods Inc., Case No. 20-cv-1620, W.D. Wash.)
