September 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Premier Nutrition Company for allegedly falsely advertising that its glucosamine dietary supplement Joint Juice will treat osteoarthritis and “help[] keep cartilage lubricated and flexible” when, according to plaintiffs, scientific evidence shows that the ingredients in the supplement do not provide the advertised benefits. (Sonner et al v Premier Nutrition Company, LLC, Case No. 20-cv-7453, California State Court – Alameda)
