Claims of It’s Just Lunch Dating Service
Allegations: Making false advertising claims about the It’s Just Lunch dating service
In November 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against the dating service It’s Just Lunch International for allegedly misleadingly claiming that the company makes matches using “6 easy steps” and “regular interaction and communication” between matchmakers and members to provide “personalized hand-selected matches” when, according to plaintiffs, the company does not regularly communicate with members, chooses matches at random, and sometimes fails to provide any matches at all. In addition, the complaint claims that It’s Just Lunch misleadingly markets that it has “multiple matches” for prospective customers even when there are no other members in prospective customers’ region. (Vrugtman et al v. It’s Just Lunch International LLC, Case No. 20-cv-2352, C.D. Cal.)
