In January 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Calbee North America, LLC for allegedly deceptively marketing Harvest Snaps Snapea Crisps. Among other things, the complaint alleges that the company misleadingly markets the snacks as being baked snap peas when they are actually a combination of various ingredients, including powdered snap peas, rice, corn oil and other ingredients and flavoring agents.
