April 2017: A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against Midway Importing in April 2017. According to the complaint, the company misleadingly markets Grisi Natural Soaps as natural when they contain synthetic ingredients. This case was transferred to federal court in May 2017. (Rivera et al v. Midway Importing, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-3290, S. D. NY.)
