October 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Bayer Healthcare for allegedly falsely advertising Flintstones Healthy Brain Support, a gummy-chewable dietary supplement containing DHA. Specifically, plaintiffs allege that the company misleadingly represents that taking the supplement supports “healthy brain function” without scientific evidence to support such claims. (Porter et al v. Bayer Healthcare, LLC, Case No. 14-cv-08005, N. D. Ill.).
