In June 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Copper Cane Wines & Provisions for allegedly misleadingly labeling Elouan pinot noir as being from Oregon when, according to plaintiffs, the wines are made and bottled in California. (Kay et al v Copper Cane, LLC d/b/a Copper Cane Wines & Provisions, Case No. 20-cv-4068, N.D. Cal.)
