February 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Samsonite Company Stores for allegedly advertising fake sales on its luggage and travel accessories sold at outlet stores by comparing a “sale” price to a fabricated “regular” price to make customers think they’re getting a significant discount when, according to plaintiffs, the merchandise is never sold at the stated “regular” price and the advertised “sale” price is actually the true regular retail price for the items.
