Discounted Prices at Kate Spade Outlet Stores
In June 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Tapestry, Inc. and Kate Spade LLC for allegedly misleadingly advertising discounts in Kate Spade outlet stores by comparing a discounted price to a higher price that is not the true former price of the same or similar Kate Spade products. Plaintiffs also claim that the merchandise manufactured to be sold in outlet stores is lower quality than the merchandise sold in retail stores. (Goldman et al v. Tapestry, Inc. and Kate Spade LLC, Case No. 20-cv-748, E.D. Mo.)
