In October 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Cucina & Amore Inc. for allegedly deceptively marketing its sauces – including Pesto Alla Genovese, Bruschetta Artichoke, and Pequillo Peppers & Mango Salsa – as having “No Preservatives” when, according to plaintiffs, they contain the preservatives citric acid and ascorbic acid.
