In March 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Claire’s Stores for allegedly failing to disclose that cosmetics – including eye shadows, compact powders, and contour palettes – contain asbestos, a dangerous ingredient that may be lethal. (Bowman et al Claire’s Stores, Inc., Case No. 19-cv-1459, E. D. NY.)
