In April 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Post Consumer Brands for allegedly misleadingly representing that Cocoa Pebbles breakfast cereals are made with “real cocoa” on the front labels when, according to the plaintiffs, the ingredients list discloses that the cereals contain “Cocoa (Processed with Alkali).” (Copeland et al v. Post Consumer Brands, LLC, Case No. 19-cv-2488, E. D. NY.)
