June 2020: This case was voluntarily dismissed When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled., the reasons for which have not been disclosed.

May 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against The Folger Coffee Company for allegedly misleadingly representing the number of six fluid ounce cups of coffee that the coffee inside the canister will make when, according to plaintiffs, consumers who follow the instructions on the packaging do not get the advertised number of cups of coffee. For example, plaintiffs claim that the front label of the 24.2 ounce canister of Folgers French Roast, Med-Dark coffee says the product makes up to 210 cups of coffee when, according to the complaint, the product makes approximately 156 cups of coffee. (Ibarra et al v. The Folger Coffee Company, Case No. 20-cv-850, S.D. Cal.)
