Advertised Cups of Folgers
Allegations: Products do not make the number of cups advertised on the label
In November 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against The J. M. Smucker Company and The Folger Coffee Company alleging that Folgers ground coffee products do not contain enough coffee to make the number of cups advertised on the container. For example, the complaint claims that the 30.5 ounce canister of Folgers Classic Roast Coffee makes up to 240 cups of coffee when, according to plaintiffs, the product makes approximately 173 cups of coffee. (Moser et al v. The J. M. Smucker Company and The Folger Coffee Company, Case No. 20-cv-7074, N.D. Ill.)
