Brinks Home Interactive Messaging

In June 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Brinks Home Security for allegedly misleadingly representing that the security company will send consumers who pay a monthly fee for Brinks Home Interactive Messaging a text message with a link to a portal where they can deactivate their alarm if it has been activated when, according to plaintiffs, the service routinely failed to send text messages to subscribers and was discontinued in March 2019. (Silver et al v. LiveWatch Security, LLC d/b/a Brinks Home Security et al, Case No. 20-cv-2478, E.D.N.Y.)
