August 2017: A federal judge granted preliminary approval of a settlement agreement. According to the settlement terms, claimants may receive one refund for 10% of the price they paid for a maximum award of $2,000.
April 2014: A Consolidated Amended Complaint regarding the marketing for AZEK decking was filed after similar cases were transferred to one court to be heard together. The complaint, which was amended in January 2016, alleges that the AZEK Building Products marketed a synthetic decking made of polyvinylchloride (PVC) as durable and resistant to staining, fading, mold, water, and scratches when, according to plaintiffs, the decking prematurely discolored, faded, and deteriorated.
