Ashley Furniture’s DuraBlend®

In April 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Ashley Furniture for allegedly deceptively marketing that its DuraBlend® upholstery used in some of its furniture – including sofas, loveseats, sectionals, and ottomans – is “blended leather” without adequately disclosing that the upholstery is not actually leather or providing the percentage of leather or non-leather materials in it, as required by law. (Razo et al v. Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., Ashley Homestores, Ltd., and Does 1-100, Case No. 16-cv-2911, C. D. CA.)
